Dutring the 2004 Atlantic hurricane season four large cyclones hit the U.S. and impacted the southern states, Florida especially, within 6 weeks. In both August and September Keith reports on both Hurricane Charley and Hurricane Ivan in regard to their impact on the locals, the economy, as well as how people are preparing.
- August 17-22: Keith reports on Hurricane Charley which hit August 9-15 and was dubbed a Category 4. The Hurricane affected Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Jamaica, Cuba, and the Cayman Islands.
- September 11-14: Keith recaps Hurricane Ivan which struck Florida less than a month after Hurricane Charley and less than two weeks after Hurricane Francis. The Hurricane affected Florida, Alabama, and Cuba.

Keith gives a recap on local sports teams including, baseball season ending, football season reaching its midway point, and hockey which is expereincing a lockout.
- Keith spends much of October, November, and December analyzing the NHL delyay of the season due to the NHL lockout, which as result means no hockey games. The lockout resulted from owners wnating layers to have a salary cap and players not agreeing to this. Keith analyzes and explains how this impacts Buffalo's economy as a result of no Sabres games. Buffalo buisnesses such as resturants and bars are suffering because they are no longer recieivng buisness from hockey fans (to either watch the game there or come after a game concludes).
