January

WBKW-TV and Radford specifically discusses the Superbowl as the excitment grows. He also discusses federal political news as the transition of power occurs between Bush and Clinton.

  • January 20: Bill Clinton was inaugurated as the 42nd president of the United States
  • January 31: Superbowl game between the Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills. Radford follows the team and reports on the game, which the Bills lost.

February

Radford discusses aviation news. Specifically airforce reserve memebers and what carry supplies in their jets

Radford continues to discuss the airforce and other aviation news.

April

Radford and WBKW-TV spend most of the month discussing international affairs, but also local economic news.

  • April 14-16: Fasten Your Seatbelts Progran airs. This is a series on taxes and where/what citizens taxes are going towards. Radford focuses on the aviation trust fund.

May

Radford discusses economic policy. Radford has viewers recall the 1988 trade agreememnt between the United States and Canada. To increase trade, there is a proposition to add Mexico to this free trade agreement.

  • July 19: Radford reports on President Bill Clinton annoucing the "Dont' Ask, Don't Tell" policy. This policy would permit gay Americans to serve in the military as long as they did not disclose that they were gay.

Radford reports on local political news. The reports center around the mayor canidates who debate live on TV for the first time locally

Radford discusses politics throughout the fall months. In September he focuses on women and politics. Radford discusses the importance of getting women involved in politics and elected into office.

Throughout November Radford focuses on the current political climate and the culture surronding politics. Specifically, to better explain the culture of politics, Radford reflects on the Kennedy's (JFK specifically) and their influence on American politics.

December

Radford discusses criminal activity within local churches. The focus is on abuse in the clergy. Several boys come forward about the abuse the expereinced at the hands of two local priests: Father Aurelio and Father Mach.
