Materials in the Irenaeus Herscher, OFM, Collection

Much of the work of organizing this collection was done by James Irwin as part of an internship in the Saint Bonaventure University Archives.

The collection is approximately 3.8 cubic feet.  It includes correspondence, photographs, publications by and about Herscher, and memorabilia he gathered together over the years.  

As one uses the Archives at Saint Bonaventure University, it quickly becomes apparent how much Irenaeus Herscher had to do with creating the facility.  In addition to the wealth of information included in his personal collection, his handiwork is found throughout the rest of the material.  His handwriting and typewriting style are familiar to many regular users of the Archives.
