(This page is being rebuilt.  Our apologies for the mess!)

From its beginnings, St. Bonaventure University has promoted and supported Student Activities.  Founded in 1858, the first notices of Student Activities appeared in 1861. A theatrical performance of Sebastian, the Roman Martyr was done for the community.  An unbroken series of events continues to the present day.

This site is designed to provide a brief overview of the non-academic life of Bona's students, including student government, student organizations and the many clubs which formed to allow students with common interests to work and play together.  A recent list of these groups demonstrates their breadth and the students' enthusiasm.

Several other sites may be of interest:
Freshman Rules  What was a "dink" and why did freshmen care?
The Symbols of St. Bonaventure  What do Seals and Wolves have in common?
St. Bonaventure songs and cheers Listen to the Alma Mater and Unfurl the Brown and White (part of the Football site)
The Athletics pages describe some of the interscholastic sports long in place at SBU.  Take a look at the campus where Bona's students study and play.

This site was originally created by Debbie Holihan for Computers and Archives in History, Fall 2003.
This page was reconstructed Spring 2007 by D. Frank.
The Theater page was added by D. Frank 5/2005.
