The
Depression years weren’t a good time for building programs, but funding was
found to build Hickey Memorial Dining Hall in 1930.
The Friedsam Foundation provided the resources to build a new library in
1938. In 1948, just at the end of
his term, Father Tom was able to see construction begin on of one of his
greatest dreams, Christ the King Seminary, now Francis Hall.
