The Arrival of the Friars in Western New York, p. 15
During
this administration substantial changes were made in the educational structure.
Summer and extension programs were added during the 1920’s, with an
emphasis on teacher training. Women
first attended classes at St. Bonaventure through these programs, though they
would not be admitted as day students until 1942.
In 1924 St. Bonaventure was added to the approved list of colleges by the
Association of Colleges and Preparatory Schools of the
Very Rev. Thomas Plassmann, OFM (1879-1959)
