The Arrival of the Friars in Western New York, p. 19

Franciscans have provided for the spiritual and educational needs of this region and reached out across the planet to satisfy this continuing responsibility.  Here at home they have followed St. Bonaventure’s belief that the pursuit of knowledge and the soul’s journey to God should not, and could not, be separated.

At St. Bonaventure University students are introduced to university life in a Franciscan setting by the much admired Clare College.  Their pursuit of higher education may follow several paths through the liberal arts, or in a professional direction in the Schools of Journalism, Business and Education.  The Journey Project is designed to help the campus community look at issues of faith, service and vocation and to integrate them into in all parts of life.
