"I have but one dream. To see a bigger and better Bonaventure." Fr Tom Plassmann

Plassmann Hall stands as a living memoriam to Fr. Tom.  Today St. Bonaventure continues to march forward, furthering its long standing reputation for Franciscan values and as an institution of higher learning.

The University continues to display the same resilience Fr. Tom demonstrated over 70 years ago. When faced with adversity St. Bonaventure raises to every occasion. Whether it be a series of disastrous fires, financial difficulties or an athletic scandal which he media attempts to exploit to tarnish the University's reputation, St. Bonaventure will always overcome.

Since Fr. Tom's death, St. Bonaventure has evolved into something he would surely be proud of. A year after Plassmann's death the University planned a 19 million dollar expansion. Since then St. Bonaventure has built dormitories such as Shay-Loughlin, expanded Friedsam Library, built the Quick Arts Center, and constructed the largest current building on campus, the Reilly Center. The construction of the Richter Center further advances Fr. Tom's dream of a bigger and better Bonaventure, and embodies the Universities resilience.

Father Thomas Bernard Plassmann cherished every aspect of St. Bonaventure University.  From the roots of every tree to the peak of every building, Fr. Tom lived for St. Bonaventure, and he is the reason St. Bonaventure University still lives today.
