Francis Week 2010 to explore and celebrate sustainability
Francis Week 2010 will explore and celebrate sustainability as the University welcomes Sr. Mary Elizabeth Imler, O.S.F., who will lead various campus discussions on the theme of “Franciscan Sustainability: Lessons from the Gardens.”
“We are delighted to have Sr. Mary Elizabeth as our Francis Week speaker this year. Her background in the sciences as well as both her Franciscan experience and background in Franciscan Studies afford us a unique opportunity as a campus community to critically and carefully consider our individual and communal commitment to creating a sustainable future,” said Br. F. Edward Coughlin, O.F.M., vice president for Franciscan Mission.

Bonnies get late goal,
hold on to sink Vikings
On a hot, sun-drenched afternoon, the Bonnies (1-0-0) got a late second-half goal from senior midfielder Brett Allen and relied on their defense the rest of the way to defeat the visiting Cleveland State Vikings 1-0 in the season opener for both teams Wednesday at McGraw-Jennings Field.
A Cleveland State (0-1-0) handball at the top of its own box in the 72nd minute resulted in a direct kick, which Allen curved around a wall of Viking defenders and into the upper right-hand corner of the net.
