John Aicher
John Aicher graduated from St. Bonaventure in 1952. He participated in the ROTC program from 1948-1952. While at the university he earned his Bachelor’s degree in English Literature. He was also president of Iota Delta Alpha, secretary of the Metropolitan Club, and an active member of the Rifle Team, Prom Committee, and the 105 Club. After graduation Aicher fought in the Korean War. He served as the Defense Counsel for the Battalion’s Special Court Martial. He was given this position because his commanding officer knew he was going to law school after his tour was finished. During his military career he also held positions such as Troop Information and Education Officer and VD Control officer. In his career as a lawyer he found that much of the training and skills from ROTC helped him excel in his career. |
