A $3.5 million structure was built to take the place of Butler Gym as the home of St. Bonaventure basketball.  While the first game was played Dec. 2, 1966 (Click to watch the game), the building formally opened in 1967 as the University Center, and was renamed the Reilly Center, after longtime basketball and football coach Carroll "Mike" Reilly, the facility provides seating for 5,700 spectators.  The building also had a new swimming pool, cafeteria, bookstore, offices, housed the ROTC program and provided the additional room needed for athletic program offices and equipment space.

On October 12, 2007, St. Bonaventure dedicated a new court to Bonnie legend Bob Lanier and 'Bob Lanier Court at the Reilly Center' was officially unveiled.

At of the start of the 07-08 season, the men's basketball program is 367-161 all-time at the RC.
