A $3.5 million structure was built to take the place of Butler Gym as the home of St. Bonaventure basketball.  Opened in 1967 as the University Center, and renamed the Reilly Center, after longtime basketball and football coach Carroll "Mike" Reilly, the facility provides seating for 5,700 spectators.  The building also had a new swimming pool, cafeteria, bookstore, offices, housed the ROTC program and provided the additional room needed for athletic program offices and equipment space.
