Loomes' in blue ink in the upper left corner.  In the bottom right corner is stamped 'received...approved 12/22/66 E.B.'. Correction, deletions and printer's marks are in red, blue and black ink.  Words and sentences are crossed out and words written in in pencil.  Pages are numbered in the upper left corner, some have been crossed out and rewritten in in pencil in the upper right corner.  Two pages (180 and 182a) are typed paragraphs and stapled to a full sheet to make a page.

The cover of "House and Garden" October; 60cents.  The cover story 'Upstairs at the White House: The Historic Rooms Where the First Family Lives'.  Notations in pencil are marked by the pictures and text.  Title 'The Yellow Oval Room' is marked 12 midnight on the left side.  Under the title is 'Texas Delegation Party' written in. Midnight is noted by the title 'The Oval Room's Paintings in pencil and two paragraphs are marked.  Within the title "A Place People Really Live" by Scottie Lanahan, a section is marked off and 3pm written beside it.  The title "The President's Dining Room" is all marked by drawing a box around half of it and 2:30pm written in beside it.  There are many pictures.

Page numbers are in upper left corner.  There are different initials in green on the sheets.  There are two pages per sheet.  The second sheet is initialed OK EB 2/3/67 in blue ink.  The Third sheet has a card attached to printer 'Note to Printer: Watch decenders on all galleys'.  On page A-11 there is an insert typed on a yellow sheet of paper taped to the sheet.  There are only a few corrections done in red pencil or pencil.  Page 57-A has a typed insert and the original is crossed out with blue pencil.  Bank 18 Slide 1 starts on the fourth sheet.  The Slide number changes with each sheet.

On the front sheet is 'Author's Reading set please have book in this office by February 13'.  This is done in pencil and circled.  Bank 18 Slide 1 is on the first sheet with the Slide number changing on each sheet.  There are two pages per sheet.  Corrections, changes, and deletions are done in red ink, blue pencil, and pencil.  However, there are very few changes.  On Slide 17 the correction is made on yellow paper and attached to the sheet.  The Same with page 57-A.

Physical Description:

These are three ring small black notebooks.  There are tabs on the edge of the pages noting the time of day.  The first notebook covers background information and the times 7:00am to 12:00 noon.   The second notebook covers the times from 1:00pm to 1:00am.  Newspaper clippings are cut and pasted onto pages in the notebook.  All the rest of the pages are typed or handwritten on both sides and each page is crossed out with red pencil or blue ink.

Letter from Mrs. Otila Garcia to Mr. President; Feb. 17, 1966.  Thanking him for opportunities in this great land and sent a newspaper clipping and picture of son.

Two typed pages;  "Averting the Water Crisis in the summer of 1965". One typed page; Typed summary of seven different areas President Johnson covered.  1. North Eastern Drought; 2. Los Angeles Riots; 3. Married Men and the Draft; 4. Steel Crisis; 5. Civil Rights Reorganization; 6. Food-for-Peace Reorganization; 7. Food and Fiber Commission.

Seven typed pages;  Titled "One Thousand Days of Achievement: The Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965.  Has the notation '7pm' in pencil on the top left corner.

One typed page; Titled "Air Force One".  It is on very thin pink carbon like paper.  The text is about Air Force One.

Three pages taken from a book "Automatic Data Processing for Protective Intelligence".  Time notations are done in blue ink.  Parts of the text are underlined and the first page has a 15 x 9cm square cut out of the middle of it. In the upper right corner is the number 195A written in.

One sheet titled "Special Report" from Michigan State Chamber of Commerce; April 22, 1965.  Subtitle "The Litter Problem-Michigan's Disgrace".  Time notations are done in pencil and some written notes are in blue ink.  The front of leaflet is crossed off in pencil from corner to corner.
