Buddies is=20
      asking all departments and organizations who have secured one of =

      artificial trees to come to the San Damiano Room from 1 to 6 p.m. =

      Dec. 4, to decorate their trees and enjoy hot chocolate, cookies =

      holiday music.</FONT></P>

      Trees, which is the program=92s big end-of-semester event, makes =

      for Bona Buddies=92 families to have Christmas trees in their =

      take home the trees. There will also be drawings for a gingerbread =

      social-ministry program through University Ministries that =

      away trees, all Bona Buddies and their siblings will receive Bona =

      Bonnies to raise money for the Polar Plunge, a fundraiser leading =

      Dec. 6 dip in frigid Lake Erie. The money raised helps provide =
more than=20
      47,000 Special Olympic athletes in New York state with year-round =
training=20
      and exercise, so they can compete at no cost.</FONT></P>

Plunge=20
      takes place Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. until noon at the Hamburg (N.Y.) =
Town=20
      Beach. </FONT></P>

third=20
      year that the Polar Plunge has partnered with the St. Bonaventure =
campus.=20
      In 2007 and 2008, the School of Education hosted the event. This =

      Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) joined in hopes of making the =
event=20
      even bigger.</FONT></P>

      <P><FONT face=3D"Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Not only is =
SIFE one=20
      of the largest service organizations on campus, but it also ranks =
in the=20
      top 5 percent of all other SIFE teams nationwide. SIFE=92s main =

      project is its economic development zone in the Bahamas. The group =
plans=20
      to use some of the money raised during the Polar Plunge for the =
Special=20
      Olympics in the Bahamas.</FONT></P>

      two projects together,=94 said Katie Peek, an integrated marketing =

      Polar Plunge Kickoff at St. Bonaventure. SIFE and the School of =

      sold knit gloves for $5 and set up a dunk tank outside of the =

      Center. Dr. Jim Mahar, associate professor in the School of =
Business, was=20
      one of the professors to volunteer for a turn at the outdoor dunk =
tank on=20
      a day when the temperature dipped into the 30s.</FONT></P>

cold for a=20
      while is a small price to pay to help,=94 said Mahar. =93The =
Plunge and SBU=20
      SIFE=92s fundraising is just another way that SBU works with other =

      dunk was just a small contribution to support the efforts of our =
students=20
      on campus with their goal to raise funds for the Polar Plunge,=94 =

frozen=20
      professors were being dunked, SIFE provided hot chocolate and =
coffee for=20
      $1. SIFE also sold bracelets and held a raffle. All the money =

      during the event went directly to SIFE=92s Buoyant Bonnies team. =

Bonnies=20
      currently have 71 members and the group hopes to eventually sign =
up 100=20
      for the Lake Erie plunge. With the $2,000 they have already =
raised, the=20
      Buoyant Bonnies have raised the most money of all Western New York =
teams=20
      participating in the event. But they are not stopping there. The =
goal is=20
      to raise at least $10,000 this year. Donations can be taken up to =
a week=20

      klezmorim, through contact with Slavonic, Greek, Turkish, Arabic, =

      and even American jazz musicians, generated a very diversified =

      based at the historic Angel Orensanz Foundation for the Arts, New =

      City=92s oldest still-standing synagogue, where it performs =
