      man, we have used word of mouth to pass down stories from one =

      to the next, recording history. This academic year, St. =
Bonaventure=20
      University will join the conversation and begin orally recording =
its own=20
      history as part of a freshman class project.</FONT></P>
      <P><FONT face=3D"Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">As part of =
the=20
      freshman University 101 course and All-Bonaventure Reads programs, =
each=20
      member of the class of 2013 will interview someone connected to =
St.=20
      Bonaventure. These participants can be anyone: community members, =
alumni,=20
      faculty or staff. They do not need to be alumni or work at =
Bona=92s. If they=20
      have a story to share about the university, there are 470 freshmen =
who=20
      want to listen. Each interview will be recorded. The overall goal =
of the=20
      project is to create an oral history of the university while =
providing=20
      participants with a unique and heartfelt experience.</FONT></P>

      to tell about St. Bonaventure=97what it means to you, how it has =
impacted=20

      diectly from this year's All Bonaventure Reads selection titled =

      is an Act of Love." The book is a compilation of short stories =

      peoples' everyday lives that were gathered by an independent =
non-profit=20
      project called StoryCorps.</FONT></P>
      <P><FONT face=3D"Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">StoryCorps =
has two=20
      permanent =93listening booths=94 located in Grand Central Station, =
in New York=20
      City and in New Orleans. StoryCorps also has one mobile booth that =
travels=20
      all around the country, collecting peoples=92 =
experiences.</FONT></P>

sans-serif">Participants enter=20
      the booth and talk to one another about subjects varying from work =
related=20
      experiences to Sept. 11. At the end of each session there are two =
recorded=20
      copies of the conversation. One copy stays with the participants =

      other is sent to the Library of Congress.</FONT></P>

      hoping to imitate StoryCorps=92 success by archiving peoples=92 =
stories and=20
