      open its annual Summer Evenings of Re-Creation series on =
Wednesday, June=20
      24, with a session hosted by two of the Franciscan Mountain =
retreat=92s=20
      founding friars.</FONT></P>

      <P><FONT face=3D"Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">The series =
of six=20
      Wednesday gatherings on the retreat=92s hilltop acreage in =
Allegany County,=20
      some 25 miles from the St. Bonaventure University campus, will =
also serve=20
      as the opening of a year-long silver anniversary celebration, =
marking the=20
      retreat=92s 25th year at its town of West Clarksville =
location.</FONT></P>

      <P><FONT face=3D"Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">What began =
as a=20
      summertime retreat housed in an off-campus dormitory on Union =
Street in=20
      Allegany has grown into a sprawling hilltop community of friars =
devoted to=20
      providing a place for spiritual reflection. The 387-acre site =
includes a=20
      large community house, a chapel, cabins and 10 miles of =
trails.</FONT></P>

      <P><FONT face=3D"Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Fr. Dan =
Riley,=20
      O.F.M., guardian of Holy Peace Friary at Mt. Irenaeus, who began =
the=20
      summertime retreats in Allegany 27 years ago with Fr. Dan Hurley, =
O.F.M.,=20
      said the anniversary celebration will include a special overnight =
retreat=20
      in the fall with a concert, outdoor Mass and guest educator, and =
will=20
      close with another big event in the summer of 2010. Other events =
will be=20
      held throughout the year =93to celebrate what it is we=92re doing =
and to take=20
      our mission out to others,=94 said Fr. Dan. Additional information =

      events will be announced as details are finalized.</FONT></P>

Evenings=20
      of Re-Creation, which are free and open to all, will establish the =
theme=20
      of the anniversary celebration by focusing on the need to =93begin =

      said Br. Kevin Kriso, O.F.M., a member of the friar community at =
Mt.=20
      Irenaeus and coordinator of the evening series.</FONT></P>

      a topic that=92s going to be important in everybody=92s lives and =
give folks a=20
      chance to experience it, and to think and talk about it in terms =

      will open with Mass at 4:45 p.m., followed by a dish-to-pass =
supper at 6=20
