1995 Hellinger Award Winner- Elaine Rocchi Hamill

 

Elaine Rocchi was given the 1995 Mark Hellinger Award at The Plaza in New York City. She held a secondary concentration in French language and literature and worked with The Bona Venture and was a member of Kappa Tau Alpha, Delta Epsilon Sigma, the Society of Professional Journalists and Pi Delta Phi, a national French honor society. Rocchi also served as a tutor for students with learning disabilities and as a winner of the Dow Jones Editing Internship, she held a full-time editing position with the Cape Cod Times in Hyannis, Massachusetts in the summer of 1994.

The Stamford, Connecticut native was offered a job by The Wall Street Journal within days of graduation.
