1994 Hellinger Award Winner- Tonya Littlefield Cummings

Cummings congradulates Bob Considine Award winner and New York Times columnist Anthony Lewis.

 

Summa cum laude graduate Tonya Littlefield Cummings of Duke Center, Pennsylvania was given the honor of the Mark Hellinger Award at The Plaza in New York City. Along with her journalism and mass communications major, she minored in English.

Active with The Bona Venture and WSBU, Cummings also served as the public relations intern for the University's Tripodi Fitness Center. She also served as an intern in development and public relations for the ReHabilitation Center in Olean. Cummings was a member of Kappa Tau Alpha and Delta Epsilon Sigma. Off campus, she was a correspondent for The Bradford Era for four years.

Upon graduation, Cummings became a reporter for the Fauquier Times-Democrat in Warrenton, Virginia. She also joined the communications team for The ReHabilitation Center, coordinating fundraising and volunteer programs.
