1966 Hellinger Award Winner- Jane McGuire
Springfield, Massachusetts resident Jane McGuire was formally presented with the 1966 Mark Hellinger Award on May 12th at Danny's Hide-A-Way in New York City. During her time at St. Bonaventure, she was the editor of Bonamicus (a publication for friends of the University), served on the staff of The Bona Venture, was director of the then-annual High School Press Day, was a member of the University Press Club, Visual Arts Club and Plassman Forum.
In the summer, McGuire worked as a reporter for the Daily News based out of Springfield, and was a contributer to the Olean Times Herald. She went on to get a master's degree from Columbia.
