Rectors and Directors

During the years of operation, the seminary had five rectors or directors. Two of them, Plassman and Lalor, also served as university presidents before they became rectors of the Seminary. The following shows the rectors and the years that they held that position.

1951-1952 Reverend John Lambert Rowan, O.F.M.
1952-1959 Reverend Thomas Plassman, O.F.M.
1959-1964 Reverend Callistus Smith, O.F.M.
1964-1973 Reverend Juvenal Lalor, O.F.M.
1973-1974 Reverend Alban A. Maguire, O.F.M. Note: Maguire remained the rector of Christ the King seminary after it merged with St. John's in East Aurora.
