The Warming Hut along the Ho Chi Minh Trail (Clare Rd.) was made possible by a United States Department of Transportation grant that had fixed campus roads and trails in 2011. Construction on the Warming Hut began in 2011, and was completed in February 2012. This 24 hour facility provides the public with not only restrooms, but access to a safe place to stop when walking along the trail. The building has surveillance cameras installed, and lights were added along the road to make the area more illuminated and safer.
