Ronald "Whitey" Martin, Class of 1961, Basketball Scrapbook Collection

Ronald "Whitey" Martin, Class of 1961, was part of St. Bonaventure's basketball team in the late 1950s/early 1960s. He had two NIT seasons before he co-captained the basketball team that would make it to the NCAA tournament for the first time in the school's history in 1960-1961. After he graduated, he was drafted by the New York Knicks in 1961, where he would rejoin the famous Stith brothers. Martin was inducted into the St. Bonaventure Athletic Hall of Fame in 1969.
