John Hayes, '69 made history as part of the undefeated 1967-1968 basketball season that would be an unforgettable part of St. Bonaventure basketball history. Hayes was a key member of the "Ironman Five," along with Bill Kalbaugh, Jim Satalin, Bob Lanier, and William Butler. Hayes was the third leading scorer on the team during 1967-1968. He averaged 13.5 points and 6.8 rebounds during that historic season. Hayes graduated St. Bonaventure in 1969 with a degree in business management. He was inducted into the St. Bonaventure Athletic Hall of Fame in 2019.
